NWGA Youth Summit – A Huge Success! On November 15th, more than 75 students, 25 caregivers, and 20 Resource Village partners from Catoosa, Walker, Dade, and Chattooga counties came together at Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School for an unforgettable day dedicated to mental health, self-expression, connection, and support.
Students attended inspiring breakout sessions with Ashanti Branch (#MillionMaskMovement) and Aubrie Pankau (Let’s Be Clear GA), then explored fun Self-Expression Stations like cookie decorating, media making, journaling, a photo booth, and more. Caregivers joined Caregiver Cafés with trauma-informed staff to learn how to best support their youth.
Everyone also enjoyed donuts, coffee, and time to visit the Resource Village!
Huge shoutout to our Peer Leaders who planned the entire event, along with the Adult Allies and County Champions who helped bring it to life.
